Lantern Hollow
★★★★★ 4.7
Lantern Hollow is the kind of game I recommend to people who say they don't like games. It's a calm adventure about lighting lanterns across a sleepy village, solving small environmental puzzles, and piecing together what happened to the people who left.
Everything is tap-to-interact, and the game never rushes you. Puzzles are logical rather than obscure, and when I did get stuck it was always my own oversight, not unfair design. The hand-drawn art and soft soundtrack make it genuinely relaxing.
It's short — maybe four hours — but it doesn't pad itself to feel longer, and I respect that. Low on battery too, since there's not much happening graphically. A lovely little thing.
