About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where four of us swapped screenshots and arguments about which games were actually worth keeping installed. At some point we got tired of typing the same opinions over and over, so we made a site.,We play everything on real hardware — mid-range Androids and a couple of older iPhones — because that's what most people actually own. A game that runs smooth on a flagship but stutters on a three-year-old phone gets marked down for it. We write about controls, battery drain, loading times, and whether the thing respects your attention.,Games get picked a few ways: reader suggestions, stuff that's climbing the charts, and titles we just stumbled into and liked. Nobody pays to be here. If we didn't finish a game, we say so instead of pretending.,The tone is casual on purpose. We're players first and writers second, and we'd rather tell you what a game feels like after an hour on the train than recite a feature list.
