Frontline Cartographer
★★★★☆ 4.4
Frontline Cartographer is a tile-based strategy game that rewards patience. You move small squads across hex maps, and terrain genuinely changes outcomes — holding high ground or a choke point wins more battles than raw stats do.
The touch controls are clean: tap a unit, see its range highlighted, drag to move. No fiddly gestures. There's an undo for your move before you commit, which saved me from a lot of dumb mistakes and makes the game far less frustrating than it could be.
Matches run ten to twenty minutes, which fits mobile perfectly. The campaign tutorial is a little slow, but once it opens up the puzzles get properly chewy.
